Jesper Kjaedegaard

Jesper Kjaedegaard, born in 1958 in Denmark, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of The Maersk Company Limited in 2005.  He has been with the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group for  29  years and has spent 16 of those years in various management positions overseas, most recently in the Far East and Middle East.  

In addition to his current responsibilities, Jesper Kjaedegaard is also a member of the Global Executive Committee for Maersk’s Container Business responsible for the global performance of Maersk Line and Safmarine Container Lines. He is a member of the Board of the Chamber of Shipping (UK), The Moller Centre (at Churchill College, Cambridge), and also holds directorships in several companies within the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group.

Jesper holds a degree from Copenhagen School of Commerce and has supplemented this education with post graduate studies at Insead in France, Cornell University and Harvard Business School (AMP) in the USA.
