The Maersk Company in Ireland

The Maersk Company (Ireland) Limited. has mirrored the dynamic growth of The Maersk Company Ltd and the parent A.P. Moller - Maersk Group.

The Irish company was incorporated in December 1976 and became the responsibility of The Maersk Company Limited in 2001. To begin with the company’s main business activities were ship brokering, chartering and off shore exploration. In 1985 the focus was firmly put on the container related side of the business with the development of Maersk Line’s operations in Ireland. Since then the line has grown from strength to strength to become one of the leading deep-sea carriers servicing the Irish market, and earning itself the title of 'Shipping Line of the Year' at the 2007 Import and Export Freight and Logistics Awards.

With the establishment of Maersk Logistics Ireland Limited, which offers a varied package of services such as airfreight, forwarding and supply chain management, the company has positioned itself well as a one stop shop for shipping service in the Irish market place.

The company's head office is located in Dublin, and offers services to and from the ports of Cork and Dublin to the rest of the world.
