Maersk Contractors was established with the aim of making optimal use of the wide range of marine and petrochemical expertise that exists within the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group.

Maersk Contractors offers a wide range of services to oil companies. Our core business areas are drilling and floating production.

Based in Aberdeen, Maersk Contractors are well placed to serve the various oil companies operating in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The company operates the FPSOs (Floating Production Storage Offloading units) "NORTH SEA PRODUCER" and "MAERSK CURLEW" on the McCulloch and Curlew fields respectively.

From March 2005 Maersk Contractors operate the newbuild "MAERSK INSPIRER" the world's largest Ultra Harsh Environment Jack - up recently arrived from the Far East. The rig is under contract with ConocoPhillips UK ON the J - block IN the Central North Sea.
