Management Change in The Maersk Company Ltd

London, 21 May, 2008. Following the restructuring of the activities in The Maersk Company UK Ltd, it has been agreed that Jesper Kjaedegaard will step down as CEO effective 31 August 2008. Jesper will maintain strong links with the A.P. Moller – Maersk group in the UK and will join the board of The Maersk Company as a non-executive director as well as being available for other board and advisory roles in the UK.

Nigel Pusey, who is already based in London as Global Head of Container Inland Services, in addition to his current responsibilities, will succeed Jesper as CEO of The Maersk Company effective 1 September.

Nigel Pusey commented: “Jesper has made an enormous contribution to the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group over his 30 year career and on behalf of the company I would like to thank him for his dedication over the years and wish him well in his future endeavours”.
